"Monkey" hammer drill for diamond core drill bits with 1 1/4" UNC
The hammer is screwed onto the bit’s shank and has a striking weight of 5.15 kg. It is ideal for loosening jammed bits and stuck drill cores. Compatible with all our 1 1/4" UNC diamond core drill bits.

"Monkey" hammer drill for diamond core drill bits with a 1 1/4" UNC connection
The “Monkey” hammer drill is ideal for core drills where the bit is wedged in the borehole or the drill core is stuck in the core tube: It is screwed onto the 1 1/4" UNC connection of the bit, and the 5.15 kg striking weight loosens the bit or core with targeted blows without damaging the bit. It weighs 9.8 kg and is 700 mm long.
How to free the bit
If the bit is stuck in the hole, unscrew the machine and screw the Monkey onto the bit’s free connection. Strike towards the drill axis using the impact weight; the blows are transmitted via the thread to the bit, loosening it in the hole. A drill core that is jammed in the crown tube after being pulled out is removed in exactly the same way. The redesigned impact weight is effective even without a wrist strap; using the supplied strap significantly increases the impact force. Holes in the impact weight also accommodate a steel cable.

Flying hammer or KernFix550
The Monkey operates by striking and is useful in both situations: when the crown is wedged in the hole and when the core is jammed in the crown. Our KernFix550 is the tool for the second scenario: the threaded rod pushes the core out of the removed crown, in a controlled manner and without impact, even when used with a cordless screwdriver.
Compatible with these drill bits
The Monkey fits all our diamond core drill bits with a 1 1/4" UNC connection. It does not directly accommodate drill bits with other thread types, such as M16.
