DKB-252/Xtrem Diamond Core Drilling Machine – Powerful and reliable
The DKB-252/Xtrem diamond core drilling machine is ideal for drilling holes for building penetrations, service pipes, ventilation ducts, flue pipes, etc. using the wet drilling method.
Powerful and effortless to use
The 3,000-watt electric motor delivers very high torque and is suitable for all tasks up to a maximum drilling diameter of 252 mm. Despite its power, the diamond core drill is lightweight and easy to handle, weighing just 6.8 kg.
Soft-start function for precise and gentle drilling
The DKB-252/Xtrem diamond core drill features a soft-start function which, by gradually increasing the speed and power, offers the following advantages:
- Reduced start-up load on the machine and the power supply.
- Better control of the machine and greater precision when starting the drilling process.
- Torque surges are reduced, making operation safer and more comfortable for the user.
- A smooth start reduces the risk of cracks and fractures in the material.
Versatile applications
The diamond core drill is equipped with a 3-speed gearbox with idle speeds of 610, 1320 and 2750 revolutions per minute. This allows for efficient adaptation to different materials. The maximum drilling diameter is 252 mm.
The machine’s drill spindle has a 1¼"-UNC external thread and a G½" internal thread for mounting a drill bit and a centre point.

KBS-252/Light core drilling stand – precision and stability
The KBS-252/Light core drilling stand is the perfect complement to the DKB-252/Xtrem diamond core drill; it is specially designed for precise and stable drilling work. The core drilling stand is easy to transport yet offers a high degree of stability and precision during drilling operations.
The core drilling stand must be secured using a fixing kit (size L cord fixing set) or a metal wall plug and a threaded rod. Neither of these items is included in the scope of delivery, but they can be purchased from our shop under ‘Accessories – Core Drilling Stand’.

Advantages of wet core drilling
Wet core drilling offers several key advantages over dry core drilling:
- Reduced dust generation: Wet core drilling uses water to cool the drilling area and bind the dust produced. This results in a healthier working environment and less cleaning work.
- Effective cooling: The cooling effectof the water prevents the drill bitfrom overheating, thereby extending its service life. Thanks to the constant cooling, drilling can be carried out more quickly and efficiently, as no breaks are required for the bit to cool down. Cooling also reduces the risk of material damage that could result from overheating in the material surrounding the borehole.
- Higher drilling quality: Wet drilling produces more precise and smoother boreholes, which are required for applications with high precision requirements.
- Longer drill bit service life: Watercooling results in less wear and a longer service life for the tool, which saves costs.
- Reduced noise levels: The wet method is generally quieter than the dry method. The water dampens vibrations and reduces noise during the drilling process.
- Faster drilling progress: Thanks to lower friction and constant cooling, the wet method allows drilling at higher feed rates and speeds. This means that wet core drilling can usually be completed more quickly than dry core drilling.
- Better suited to hard materials: Wet core drilling is particularly suitable for harder materials such as concrete, granite or reinforced concrete, as the cooling and reduced wear make drilling into these hard materials more effective.
