Description
DKB102/H diamond core drill for wet and dry core drilling
The DKB102/H diamond core drill is a powerful and versatile machine that is particularly suitable for drilling holes for flush-mounted sockets (e.g. for power sockets and switches).
It is suitable for core drilling in reinforced concrete or concrete using the wet cutting method, as well as for working on sand-lime brick, masonry, clinker or brick using the dry method. The core drill can be operated manually or mounted on a core drilling stand.
Powerful and effortless to use
The 1900-watt electric motor delivers very high torque and is suitable for all tasks up to a maximum drilling diameter of 80 mm (100 mm with a core drilling stand) in reinforced concrete and 132 mm in sand-lime brick, masonry, clinker, brick, concrete, etc.
Despite its high performance, the diamond core drill is lightweight and easy to handle, weighing just 4.4 kg.
Soft-start function for precise and gentle drilling
The DKB102/H diamond core drill features a soft-start function which, by gradually increasing the speed and power, offers the following advantages:
Safety and robustness
Length 510 mm | Width 200 mm | Height 90 mm
Optional accessories for the DKB102/H
To ensure the safe and efficient use of the diamond core drill, we offer a range of optional accessories specially designed to meet the requirements of professional tradespeople:

Soft-start function for precise and gentle drilling
The DKB102/H diamond core drill features a soft-start function which, by gradually increasing the speed and power, offers the following advantages:
- Reduced start-up load on the machine and the power supply.
- Better control over the machine and greater precision when starting the drilling process.
- The torque surge is reduced, making it safer and more comfortable for the user.
- A smooth start reduces the risk of cracks and fractures in the material.
- The DKB102/H diamond core drill is fitted with a 2-speed gearbox with grease lubrication.
- The idle speeds, which can be adjusted via a knurled wheel, range from 720 to 1230 rpm in first gear and from 1000 to 1780 rpm in second gear.
- The machine’s drill spindle has an M16 external thread for securing the drill bit. The supplied adapter to a 1¼" UNC external thread extends the machine’s range of applications.
- The diamond core drill is mounted on a core drilling stand via the clamping collar (Ø 46 mm) on the machine. The diamond core drill is compatible with our KBS-280M core drilling stand. We recommend using a core drilling stand for drill diameters of 100 mm and above.
- The machine is connected to the water supply via a Gardena adapter.
- For dry core drilling, the machine can be connected to an industrial vacuum cleaner via the optionally available SAS-PRO dust extraction system (item no. 6312).
Safety and robustness
- Safety features: An electronic overload protection system and a mechanical slip clutch ensure the operator’s safety and a long service life for the machine.
- Core drilling stand: For safe and precise operation of the core drill, we always recommend using a core drilling stand. During hand-held drilling, the drill bit may become jammed – despite the safety mechanisms – causing the machine to twist. A core drilling stand ensures stable guidance, reliably prevents the machine from twisting and enables precise drilling. This makes handling easier and noticeably improves safety at work.
- Sturdy storage case: The plastic case (540 x 320 x 120 mm) included in the scope of delivery is designed for the practical and careful storage of the machine and the supplied accessories.

Optional accessories for the DKB102/H
To ensure the safe and efficient use of the diamond core drill, we offer a range of optional accessories specially designed to meet the requirements of professional tradespeople:
KBS-280M core drilling stand (Item No. 1909.46):
The core drilling stand is the perfect complement to the DKB102/H core drill and is specially designed for precise and stable drilling work. The core drilling stand is easy to transport yet offers a high degree of stability and precision during drilling.
WT-60 water tank (item no. 62 70) and WT-60/S with hose reel (item no. 6274):
The WT-60 water tank or the WT-60/S version with hose reel provide a reliable and flexible water supply for professional use on building sites and in workshops.
Water collection ring (various sizes available):
A water collection ring ensures reliable collection and drainage of water during wet core drilling. The water collection ring must be connected to a wet vacuum cleaner.
TS-38/HEPA industrial vacuum cleaner (item no. 6442):
The TS-38/HEPA dry vacuum cleaner is a powerful and versatile cleaning machine suitable for collecting dry, non-flammable dust.
Experience the impressive technology of the DKB102/H diamond core drill and optimise your core drilling operations for maximum precision and efficiency.

Advantages of wet core drilling
Wet core drilling offers a number of significant advantages over dry core drilling:
- Reduced dust generation: Wet core drilling uses water to cool the drilling area and bind the dust produced. This results in a healthier working environment and less cleaning work.
- Effective cooling: The cooling effect of the water prevents the drill bit from overheating, which extends its service life. The constant cooling enables faster and more efficient drilling, as no cooling breaks are required. The cooling also reduces the risk of material damage caused by overheating of the material around the drill hole.
- Higher drilling quality: Wet drilling produces more precise and smoother holes, which are required for applications with high precision requirements.
- Longer drill bit service life: Watercooling results in less wear and a longer service life for the tool, which saves costs.
- Lower noise levels: The wet method is generally quieter than the dry method. The water dampens vibrations and reduces noise during the drilling process.
- Faster drilling progress: Due to lower friction and constant cooling, the wet method allows drilling at higher feed rates and speeds. This means that wet core drilling can generally be completed more quickly than dry core drilling.
- Better suited to hard materials: Wet core drilling is particularly suitable for harder materials such as concrete, granite or reinforced concrete, as the cooling and reduced wear make drilling into these solid materials more effective.
- Versatility of application: The wet method can be used for both vertical and horizontal drilling and is suitable for various materials (concrete, stone, brick).
Advantages of dry core drilling
The dry method for creating a core hole also has a number of specific advantages over the wet method. Although it is used less frequently in certain situations, it offers significant benefits in suitable applications:
- No water required: Drilling a core hole using the dry method does not depend on the availability of a water supply. This also simplifies logistics, as neither hoses and fittings nor a water supply system are required.
- Prevention of water damage: With dry drilling, there is no risk of water damage, which is particularly important in sensitive buildings (e.g. older buildings) or near electrical installations.
- Clean environment with no water residue: With dry drilling, the surrounding area remains free of water and mud, which reduces the effort required for subsequent cleaning of the construction site.
- Quick set-up and fewer accessories: As dry drilling does not require a water supply system, the equipment can usually be set up more easily and quickly.
- Lower costs: Dry drilling is generally more cost-effective than wet drilling, as no water supply system is required and fewer accessories are needed. Cleaning costs are also largely eliminated, as no slurry is produced.
- Flexibility and mobility: Dry drilling is often more flexible and easier to mobilise, as less equipment is required. The dry drilling method is well suited to smaller boreholes, where drawbacks such as dust generation are less of a concern.
- No slurry or wastewater: Whilst wet drilling often produces slurry that needs to be disposed of, dry drilling is more environmentally friendly in this respect.
- Lower risk at low temperatures: Dry drilling offers advantages in cold environments or at low temperatures, as water can freeze and thus hinder the work. Particularly in winter, dry drilling provides a safe alternative to the wet drilling method.
