Our HSS twist drills are designed for a very long service life thanks to their high-quality metal alloy with 5% cobalt content and the fully ground HSS steel, which offers excellent surface finish, wear resistance and heat protection. They are manufactured in accordance with DIN 338 and comply with drill class Type N, which means they have a small side chip angle of 135 degrees, a diameter tolerance of h8 and a cross-ground drill tip. Thanks to the cross-ground tip, our drill bits have an active cutting edge and are therefore perfectly centred, which prevents the drill bit from veering off course.

The drill shank is cylindrical, meaning the shank diameter corresponds to the drill diameter. Thanks to the two cutting edges and two spiral flutes, the drills remove chips quickly, thereby significantly extending the service life of our drills. Our drill bits are suitable for a wide range of materials, such as alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, as well as acid- and heat-resistant steels.
