Optional accessories for the SID352/PRO
To ensure the safe and efficient use of the soft-hammer core drill, we offer a range of optional accessories specially developed to meet the requirements of professional tradespeople:
WT-60 water tank (item no. 6270) and WT-60/S with hose reel (item no. 6274):
The WT-60 water tank or the WT-60/S version with hose reel provide a reliable and flexible water supply for professional use on building sites and in workshops.
Water collection ring (various sizes available):
A water collection ring ensures reliable collection and drainage of water during wet core drilling. The water collection ring must be connected to a wet vacuum cleaner.
TS-38/HEPA industrial vacuum cleaner (item no. 6442):
The TS-38/HEPA dry vacuum cleaner is a powerful and versatile cleaning machine suitable for collecting dry, non-flammable dust.
Core drilling stand IDS352/V-PRO
The vibration-damping design of our newly developed IDS352/V-PRO core drilling stand results in reduced vibrations during the drilling process, making it user-friendly and less tiring to operate.
The adjustable base plate allows for both vacuum and screw fastening.
The IDS352/V-PRO core drilling stand is therefore the ideal complement to our SID352/PRO soft-hammer core drill.
The base plate of the IDS352/V-PRO core drilling stand allows for both screw mounting (for a maximum drilling diameter of 352 mm) and vacuum mounting (maximum drilling diameter on the wall 152 mm and on the floor 202 mm).
The usable stroke length of the IDS352/V-PRO is 670 mm.
The robust and durable design of the IDS352/V-PRO core drilling stand ensures precise and safe drilling operations. Weighing 23.5 kg and fitted with an attachable trolley, the core drilling stand is easy to transport and offers a high degree of flexibility.
A mounting adapter is used to attach the core drill to the core drilling stand, securing it firmly in place.
The angle adjustment of the guide stand, the levelling screws on the base plate of the core drilling stand and the integrated spirit levels enable precise alignment of the core drilling stand for demanding drilling tasks.
The IDS352/V-PRO core drilling stand is the perfect complement to our SID352/PRO soft-hammer core drill; however, it can also accommodate any other core drill with a suitable interface.
The core drilling stand must be secured using a fixing kit (XL-size Kordel-Fix set) or a metal wall plug and a threaded rod. Neither of these is included in the scope of delivery, but can be purchased from our shop under ‘Accessories – Core Drilling Stands’.
For vacuum mounting, the VP-113/PRO core drill vacuum pump can generate the required negative pressure.

Advantages of dry core drilling
The dry method of core drilling also offers a number of specific advantages over the wet method. Although it is used less frequently in certain situations, it brings significant benefits in suitable applications:
- No water required:Dry core drilling is not dependent on the availability of a water supply. This also simplifies logistics, as there is no need for hoses, fittings or a water supply system.
- Prevention of water damage: With dry drilling, there is no risk of water damage, which is particularly important in the case of sensitive buildings (e.g. older buildings) or near electrical installations.
- Clean environment with no water residue: With dry drilling, the surrounding area remains free of water and slurry, which reduces the effort required for the final clean-up of the work site.
- Quick set-up and fewer accessories: As dry drilling does not require a water supply system, the equipment is generally simpler and quicker to set up.
- Lower costs: Dry drilling is generally more cost-effective than wet drilling, as no water supply system is required and fewer accessories are needed. Cleaning costs are also largely eliminated, as no slurry is produced.
- Flexibility and mobility: Dry drilling is often more flexible and easier to use on the move, as less equipment is required. The dry method is well suited to smaller boreholes, where drawbacks such as dust generation are less of a concern.
- No slurry or waste water: Whilst wet drilling often produces slurry that needs to be disposed of, dry drilling is more environmentally friendly in this respect.
- Lower risk at low temperatures: Dry drilling offers advantages in cold environments or at low temperatures, as water can freeze and thus hinder the work. Particularly in wintry conditions, dry drilling provides a safe alternative to the wet method.
Advantages of wet core drilling
Wet core drilling offers several key advantages over dry core drilling:
- Reduced dust generation:Wet core drilling uses water to cool the drilling area and bind the dust produced. This results in a healthier working environment and less cleaning work.
- Effective cooling: The cooling effect of the water prevents the drill bit from overheating, thereby extending its service life. Thanks to the constant cooling, drilling can be carried out more quickly and efficiently, as no breaks are required for the bit to cool down. Cooling also reduces the risk of material damage that could result from overheating in the material surrounding the borehole.
- Higher drilling quality: Wet drilling produces more precise and smoother boreholes, which are required for applications with high precision requirements.
- Longer drill bit service life: Watercooling results in less wear and a longer service life for the tool, which saves costs.
- Reduced noise levels: The wet method is generally quieter than the dry method. The water dampens vibrations and reduces noise during the drilling process.
- Faster drilling progress: Thanks to lower friction and constant cooling, the wet method allows drilling at higher feed pressure and speed. This means that wet core drilling can usually be completed more quickly than dry core drilling.
- Better suited to hard materials: Wet core drilling is particularly suitable for harder materials such as concrete, granite or reinforced concrete, as the cooling and reduced wear make drilling into these hard materials more effective.
- Versatility of application: The wet method can be used for both vertical and horizontal drilling and is suitable for various materials (concrete, stone, brick).
