Construction dehumidifier, 60L, for 40–60m², BT-60 Professional Dehumidifier

Effective moisture removal for the construction and trades sectors

Description

The NEW BT-60 construction dehumidifier with 20% more power

Are you looking for a reliable and efficient indoor construction dehumidifier? Then the BT-60 is just the thing for you! The BT-60 has been designed for a wide range of environmental conditions. Thanks to its high dehumidification capacity of up to 60 litres per day, it is suitable for rooms with an area of up to 60 m² or a volume of up to 150 m³. The operating temperature range is between 5°C and 35°C, and the permissible relative humidity is between 30% and 80%.

The control panel built into the BT-60 construction dehumidifier is characterised by its simplicity and user-friendliness. Thanks to the environmentally friendly refrigerant propane (R 290) and an impressive air circulation rate of 350 m³/h, the BT-60 operates very efficiently and reliably. Its freezing pressure of 0.8 MPa and vapour pressure of 2.8 MPa optimise performance. Features such as automatic fault diagnosis and automatic shut-off provide additional safety.
The BT-60 is fitted with a T3 15 A fuse and, with a sound power level of 50 to 55 dB(A), is well suited for indoor use. Despite its high dehumidification capacity, the BT-60 has compact dimensions and weighs just 31 kg.

With the BT-60, the water produced during dehumidification is collected in a condensate tank, which must be emptied several times a day depending on the application. However, the BT-60 also offers the option of connecting a hose to the condensate tank and allowing the water to flow freely into a suitable drainpipe or a sufficiently large collection container.

New features of the BT-60
The new BT-60 now offers 20% more power. The outer casing has been redesigned so that the display is now in a protected position, which makes operation and reading the display much easier. Thanks to this protected positioning, the display is better safeguarded against impacts and damage, which increases the device’s durability and reliability. The display’s easy accessibility makes operation more user-friendly, allowing settings and status information to be read easily. A further advantage of the new display positioning is that objects cannot be placed on top of the display, as is the case with many other devices. This prevents potential damage or malfunction of the display and contributes to the overall safety and durability of the device.

Refrigerant: Propane (R 290)
The use of propane (R 290) as a refrigerant in our building dryers offers various environmental, economic and technical advantages:

  • Environmental friendliness: Propane has a low global warming potential, making it a more environmentally friendly alternative to many conventional refrigerants. It contributes very little to global warming and has minimal ozone-depleting potential, meaning it causes less damage to the ozone layer than conventional refrigerants.
  • Efficiency: Propane is known for its high cooling capacity and energy efficiency. Construction dehumidifiers powered by propane can therefore operate very effectively, which not only improves dehumidification performance but also reduces running costs.
  • Technical advantages: Propane is a versatile refrigerant that can be used in a wide range of applications. It has a high evaporation temperature and high pressure, making it suitable for applications that require high operating temperatures.
Construction dehumidifiers in the building trade: How they solve damp problems quickly and effectively

Construction dehumidifiers are an indispensable tool in the building trade, particularly when refurbishing and renovating buildings. When it comes to removing moisture from a room or building, a construction dehumidifier is the best tool for the job.

A construction dehumidifier is a device that draws air through a filter and then passes it through a cooling system that extracts the moisture from the air. The dry air is then returned to the room, thereby reducing the humidity level in the room. Most construction dehumidifiers are portable and can be easily moved from one room to another, making them ideal for use in tradespeople’s workshops.

Why the use of construction dehumidifiers is so important in the event of water damage
One of the most common and urgent uses for building dehumidifiers is drying out rooms following flooding or water damage. In such cases, moisture can quickly penetrate walls, floors and ceilings, causing serious damage. A construction dehumidifier such as the BT-60 can help to remove this moisture quickly before it causes permanent damage. Rapid drying prevents the growth of mould, which can cause health problems, and protects the building structure from further damage.

Another reason why tradespeople use building dryers is to prepare surfaces for painting or plastering work. A damp surface can prevent paint or plaster from adhering properly. Using a construction dehumidifier removes moisture from the surface, ensuring that the paint or plaster adheres better and a smoother finish is achieved.

Building dehumidifiers are indispensable for any tradesperson dealing with damp problems in buildings. Whether renovating old buildings or repairing water damage, a building dehumidifier can solve the problem quickly and effectively, ensuring a smooth construction or renovation process.

Monitoring operating hours
With modern construction dehumidifiers, such as those in the BT series, monitoring operating hours is essential. The digital operating hours counter records and stores this data, which is particularly important for the following aspects:

  • Documentation of running time: Accurate recording of operating hours enables precise planning of maintenance work to maximise the efficiency and service life of the construction dehumidifiers.
  • Settlement with insurance companies: Insurance companies often require precise documentation of operating hours. The digital operating hours counter makes it easier to meet these requirements and ensures swift and accurate claims settlement.
  • Cost control and invoicing: When renting out construction dehumidifiers, the recording of operating hours serves as the basis for fair and transparent invoicing of usage fees.

By using the digital operating hours counter in the BT series, users benefit from increased transparency and control, which helps to optimise operating costs and ensure compliance with maintenance intervals.

5 important tips for safe and effective use
When using construction dehumidifiers, there are a few important points to bear in mind to ensure optimum performance and safety:

  • Room temperature: Construction dehumidifiers should be used at room temperatures between 5 and 32 degrees Celsius to ensure optimum performance. At lower temperatures, the efficiency of the unit may be impaired.
  • Ventilation: Windows and doors should be kept closed during the dehumidification process.
  • Maintenance: Construction dehumidifiers must be serviced regularly to ensure optimum performance. Maintenance essentially involves regularly cleaning the air filters and checking for dirt or damage.
  • Safety: Construction dehumidifiers must be used safely to prevent fires or other hazards. This means that the unit must not be operated near flammable materials, that the air to be dehumidified must not contain solvents or other hazardous substances, and that the manufacturer’s operating instructions must be followed precisely.
  • Duration: Construction dehumidifiers should not be used continuously, as very dry air can lead to health problems. It is therefore important to use the appliance only for as long as necessary and then switch it off or remove it.

By taking these factors into account, you can ensure that you use your building dehumidifier effectively and safely to resolve damp problems in buildings.
