Soft-impact core drill DKS-132/DC-H - currently the best core drill in its class
The DKS-132/DC-H diamond core drill is a versatile and powerful option for professional drilling work in various materials and offers additional safety functions for efficient and safe use.
The diamond core drill DKS-132/DC-H is a powerful tool for precise drilling in concrete, stone and masonry in dry cutting. The necessary power for demanding tasks is provided by an output of 1500 watts at a voltage of 230 volts and an amperage of 10 amps. Despite its power, it is light and easy to handle with a weight of just 3.7 kg.
The device has two gears with idle speeds of 1500 and 3000 revolutions per minute to enable efficient adaptation to different materials. The maximum drilling diameter is 132 mm in first gear and 72 mm in second gear. The impact frequency varies between 24000 and 48000 impacts per minute, depending on the selected gear.
The DKS-132/DC-H is equipped with an M18 spindle thread and has a grease gearbox, which improves the performance and service life of the device.
A special feature of this core drill is the soft impact function, which makes drilling easier. It can be activated or deactivated as required. When drilling particularly hard materials such as reinforced concrete, it is recommended to use the lower gear to reduce the speed.
The machine has a mechanical slip clutch that protects the operator and the device from excessive torque forces. This ensures safe and controlled use.
There are two LED indicators on the device that provide the operator with visual information on the current operating status and help to monitor the device. These indicators are characterised by red and yellow light.
Advantage of the servo motor in our new DKB-132/H-PRO dry cut series compared to conventional brush motors:
Power drop under high load: servo motors are generally more efficient than brush motors, especially under load. This means that servo motors tend to maintain their performance better when faced with heavy drilling tasks or demanding materials.
Torque at low speeds: Servo motors can offer higher torque at low speeds than brushed motors. This is useful when you need extra torque when drilling into hard materials or when starting from a standstill.
Constant performance: Compared to brush motors, whose performance can decrease over time due to brush wear, servo motors maintain constant performance over a longer period of time.
Energy efficiency with variable loads: In variable load applications, where drilling tasks can vary in difficulty, servo motors can optimise performance and save energy by dynamically adjusting the load.
Less heating: Servo motors generally heat up less than brushed motors, resulting in better performance consistency, especially in long-duration drilling applications.
Overall, servo motors tend to have a lower power drop compared to brush motors, especially in demanding or variable drilling situations. This can lead to better overall performance and efficiency in core drill rigs.
Lower maintenance requirements: Servo motors have fewer maintenance requirements compared to brush motors. This is because servo motors do not have brushes that wear out and need to be replaced regularly, as is the case with brush motors. Less maintenance means less downtime and lower maintenance costs, which lowers the total cost of ownership and increases the availability of the core drill.
Reduced maintenance is a key benefit of servo motors in core drills, as they provide reliable performance over extended periods of time without the need for frequent maintenance.
