Our HSS twist drills are designed for a very long service life due to their high-quality metal alloy with 5% cobalt content and the fully ground HSS steel with excellent surface finish, wear resistance as well as heat protection. They are manufactured according to DIN 338 and correspond to drill class Type-N, which means that they have a small side rake angle of 135 degrees, a diameter tolerance of h8 and a cross ground drill point. Due to the cross-grinding at the drill point, our drills have an active drill approach and are thus perfectly centred, which prevents the drill from running out of true.

The drill shank is cylindrical, which means the shank diameter corresponds to the drill diameter. Due to the two cutting edges and two spiral flutes, the drills remove the chip debris quickly and thus considerably extend the service life of our drills. Our drills are suitable for a wide range of materials such as alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel as well as acid and heat resistant steels.
