The Ø 82 mm hole saw made from HSS-Co8 bi-metal comes with a Pilot drill and a hexagonal adapter. It is ideal for cutting round holes in plasterboard, timber, laminate, plastic and aluminium, for example for pipe and cable passages. Suitable for any standard drill chuck.

This hole saw is ideal for electricians, plumbers and drywall fitters who need to make clean, round cut-outs in plasterboard, timber, laminate, plastic or aluminium, for example for pipe and cable penetrations: Ø 82 mm, made from HSS-Co8 bi-metal, with a Pilot drill and hexagonal adapter for any standard drill chuck. HSS-Co8 is high-speed steel containing 8 per cent cobalt: the cobalt makes the cutting edge hard and heat-resistant, whilst the HSS content keeps the saw tough and flexible.
How to drill
The hole saw is attached to the hexagonal adapter; the Pilot drill sits in the centre and is secured with an Allen key. The hexagonal shank is clamped into the drill chuck. When starting to drill, the Pilot drill guides the way; as soon as the saw takes hold, it cuts a round and clean hole. Thanks to its heat resistance, the cutting edge can withstand even longer cuts in aluminium. The hole saw is not designed for masonry, bricks or sand-lime blocks; for these, we offer our M16 back box cutter, also available in Ø 82 mm, and for concrete, our Diamond core drill bits.
