Diamond grinding shoes and PKD grinding shoes
A diamond grinding shoe consists of a single pair of segments mounted on a Redi-Lock plate, which is fitted into the adapter plate of the Floor grinder. Each shoe is replaced individually; switching between grit size, bond type and PKD requires no modification to the machine. A PKD grinding cup for an angle grinder is a different tool.

Removing adhesives, paint and coatings from the floor
The PKD diamond grinding shoe removes the layer from the concrete without grinding the concrete itself: polycrystalline diamond strips away epoxy resin, paint, filler and adhesive residues, whilst the support segment keeps the shoe at a distance so that it does not dig in. Next, use diamond shoes with a grit size of 16 or 30 for flat grinding; the high diamond concentration ensures high removal rate and a long service life.
Suitable floor grinders and holders
The shoes are fitted into the 250 mm adapter plate, which is screwed onto our BSM-250 floor grinders. The plate can accommodate either diamond grinding shoes or the adapter holders for sanding pads. If you’re grinding the entire surface in a single pass, use the diamond grinding disc with 20 segments; if you frequently switch between removal rates and grit sizes, use the diamond grinding shoes.
