The PKD diamond grinding shoe is ideal for stripping concrete floors prior to laying a new covering: 2 PKD segments and 1 premium support segment, for wet and dry use.

PKD pkd diamond grinding pad for removing epoxy resin, paint, filler and adhesive residues
The PKD diamond grinding shoe is ideal for removing old layers from concrete floors prior to laying a new covering: epoxy resin coatings, paint, fillers and adhesive residues. It features 2 PKD segments and 1 premium support segment, is mounted on the adapter plate via the Redi-Lock quick-change system and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. It does not grind the concrete itself; the diamond grinding shoes with grit are designed for that purpose.
Segments and construction
PKD stands for polycrystalline diamond (PCD). The segments are extremely hard and wear-resistant. Together with the PKD segments, the support segment ensures a significantly longer service life than conventional grinding tools and guarantees uniform material removal.

Materials
Once the coating has been removed, continue with our diamond grinding discs and Diamond grinding shoes in grit sizes 16 or 30, depending on the concrete hardness. If you’re stripping the coating without an adapter plate, use our 16-segment pkd grinding disc, which is screwed directly onto the grinding head.

Compatible machines
The shoe is part of the quick-change system on the grinding head. At least three shoes are required for use; six are recommended for efficient working. You’ll also need our adapter plate and one of our Floor grinders:
- Adapter plate Ø 250 mm: Attached to the grinding head with four countersunk screws and holds the shoes in place. It can be fitted and removed with a quick tap of a hammer, without the need for screws.
- BSM250/E-PRO: 2200 watts, fixed speed, designed for removing adhesive residues, filler and coatings.
- BSM250/Xtrem: 2500-watt brushless motor, continuously variable speed from 400 to 2000 rpm, from stripping to polishing.
Thanks to the adapter plate, the pad also fits other machines with a 250 mm working width and a Redi-Lock mount.
