A dust extraction attachment is fitted between the spindle and the drill bit and, during dry drilling, channels the drilling dust via a connection pipe into an industrial vacuum cleaner. Without it, the drill cuttings remain in the cut, the segments overheat, and quartz dust fills the room. With it, the drill bit stays cool and the workplace remains below the limit values.

On the M18 unit, the extraction system also acts as the adapter, so it determines which core bits are compatible. The 9 mm centring tip on the M18 extraction system is removed after the initial drilling.
Suitable industrial vacuum cleaners
Concrete and masonry dust contains quartz; the vacuum cleaner must be rated for dust class H or M. Our industrial vacuum cleaners rated for dust class H are suitable for this purpose; the SAS-PRO has a 38 mm connection for the suction hose.
