MLT 4x400/6000 mobile lighting tower: 212,000 lumens for 4,000 m², with generator
The MLT 4x400/6000 is ideal for illuminating large outdoor areas where there is no mains power supply: 212,000 lumens from four LED floodlights covering up to 4,000 m², a crank-operated mast extending up to 4.5 m, and a 6 kW inverter generator that can also power other equipment.
- Spotlights can be tilted individually: illuminating the work area, access route and storage area simultaneously.
- Remote control, energy-saving switch: start the engine at the touch of a button; speed adjusts to load to save fuel.
- Low-oil shut-off, overload protection, winch brake: the engine and equipment are protected, and the mast holds at any height.
- Removable generator: can be used separately on its own wheels; the trolley is fitted with a crane bracket and lashing eyes.

MLT 4x400/6000 mobile lighting tower with inverter generator, 212,000 lumens for areas up to 4,000 m²
The MLT 4x400/6000 is our lighting tower with its own generator: four LED floodlights, each rated at 400 watts and delivering a combined output of 212,000 lumens for areas of up to 4,000 m², a telescopic mast extending up to 4.5 m via a hand-crank winch, and a Si6000E inverter generator with 6 kW.
Illumination and applications
The lighting tower is designed for illuminating outdoor areas: construction sites and roadworks at night, emergency service operation sites, and event venues. As the four floodlights can be individually adjusted to a height of up to 4.5 m, the work area, access routes and storage areas are all illuminated simultaneously. It operates at temperatures ranging from –5 to +40 °C.
- Illumination area: up to 4,000 m²
- Operating height: up to 4,500 mm
- Ambient temperature: –5 to +40 °C
- Relativehumidity: maximum 85 per cent
Lighting and lighting mast
Each of the four LED floodlights has a power rating of 400 watts and an output of 53,000 lumens. They are mounted on a floodlight bridge that can be rotated around the vertical axis on the mast, and each floodlight can be individually tilted up or down. The telescopic steel mast extends in three stages using a hand-cranked winch and steel cable, without the need for hydraulics or electricity.
- Luminous flux: 4 x 53,000 lm, total 212,000 lm
- Spotlights: 4 x 400 W LED
- Lighting mast: steel, 3 telescopic sections, hand-cranked winch with steel cable
- Alignment: Bridge rotatable, spotlights individually tiltable
Power generator
The Si6000E inverter generator powers the floodlights and has reserve capacity for additional loads; both DC and AC power can be drawn simultaneously. Voltage and frequency are regulated by a controller; the generator is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 312 cm³ and an output of 7 kW. If a power connection is nearby, the lighting tower can alternatively be connected to a building’s electrical system.
- Power: 5.7 kW rated power, 6 kW maximum
- Alternating current: 2 x 230 V / 16 A, 50 Hz
- Direct current: 12 V / 8.3 A
- USB: USB 3.0 (5 V / 0.9 A) and USB-C (5 V / 3 A)
- Fuel: Petrol, minimum 92 RON
- Fuel tank and consumption: 12 l, 3.46 l/h at full load
- Running time: approximately 3.5 hours at full load (12 l / 3.46 l/h)
- Protection rating: IP23M, headlamp IP67
- Sound power level: 97 dB(A)
Additional functions
- Remote control: Starts and stops the generator’s engine at the touch of a button. The unit itself features an electric start button and a recoil starter.
- Energy-saving switch: When set to ON, the generator regulates the engine speed according to the load, which saves fuel and reduces the noise level. For appliances with high starting currents, such as compressors or submersible pumps, it runs at rated speed.
- Removable generator: Fitted with two wheels and an extendable push handle, the Si6000E can be removed from the trolley and used as a stand-alone generator.
- Switchable headlights: Three switches on the control box – one for two headlights, two for one each. The assignment can be changed by reconnecting the cables at the junction box.
Protective functions
- Low-oil shut-off: If the oil level falls below the safety limit, the oil protection system stops the engine and the ‘LOW OIL’ indicator lights up.
- Overload protection: If more power is drawn than the generator can supply, the AC protection system stops the power output and protects the generator and connected equipment. Once the load has been reduced, press the RESET button to reset the system.
- Winch brake: The winch brakes automatically as soon as the handle is released; the mast remains stationary at any height.
- Stability: Two outriggers support the trolley, whilst the foot brake holds the two wheels on the drawbar side. When extended, the mast is approved for use in wind speeds of up to 72 km/h.
- Earthing kit: Earthing rod with a 2 m cable for the prescribed earthing of the generator.
Set-up, transport and operation
The lighting tower is positioned on firm, level and horizontal ground; the foot brake is applied, the unit is levelled and the outriggers are extended to the support position. The mast is then raised by hand with the generator switched off; the area above it must be free of obstacles and overhead power lines; during thunderstorms, it must remain retracted. To move the unit, the mast is fully retracted, the outriggers are moved to the transport position and the trolley is pushed by the drawbar; two wheels steer, whilst the other two are fixed. For loading, the trolley has a crane bracket and four lashing eyes; two people are required to carry out the initial assembly from the transport crates.
- Weight: 212 kg (light tower 160 kg, generator 52 kg)
- Footprint in operation: approx. 1650 x 1250 mm
- Footprint during transport: approx. 1,400 x 950 mm, height 2,650 mm
- Generator: 615 x 480 x 550 mm
