SPS40/PRO quick-release column for securing core drill stands
The telescopic column, made from square steel tubing with an external diameter of 40 x 40 mm, is tensioned between the floor and ceiling with a clamping length of 1.88 to 3.24 m. It is ideal for fixings without wall plugs. Compatible with our KBS252/Light-K, which can also be tensioned using the feed lever.

SPS40/PRO quick-release clamping column for securing core drill stands, clamping range 1.88 to 3.24 m
The SPS40/PRO is ideal for core drillers who need to secure a core drill stand without dowels or provide additional support, for example where drilling is not permitted: a telescopic column made from square steel tubing with an external diameter of 40 x 40 mm, which can be extended between the floor and ceiling with a clamping length of 1.88 to 3.24 m. The clamping force is generated by a spindle, which is turned using an open-ended spanner, a ratchet or simply the feed lever on the Core drill stand.
Here’s how to tension the column
The inner tube is pulled out of the outer tube by hand until the column is positioned just below the ceiling; this can be done with one hand. The spindle is then turned until the column is securely positioned between the floor and the ceiling. Before drilling, check that the column and stand are securely fastened. To release, turn the spindle back and push the inner tube back in.

Clamping column or telescopic stand
For drilling into ceilings, the operating instructions for our core drill stands recommend our TBS3000/PRO telescopic stand, whose own column is braced between the floor and ceiling and which accommodates core drilling rigs up to Ø 202 mm. The SPS40/pro is the ideal complement to the other stands when no wall plugs are to be fitted in the wall or floor.

- KBS252/Light-K: The operating instructions explicitly specify fixing without wall plugs, using struts via the clamping screw at the top of the guide stand.
The column is tensioned using the feed lever, which is supplied with each of our Core drill stands.
