DKB-202/P-PRO core drilling system with KBS252/PRO core drill stand for wet and dry drilling up to 202 mm

This set combines our 2 kW-class wet and dry core drilling machine with our mid-range dowel stand: 2200 watts, three-speed gearbox in oil bath, up to Ø 202 mm when mounted on the stand, hand-held up to Ø 162 mm, for concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry.

Identical in design to the H-handle version for ceiling and floor drilling, the DKB-202/H-PRO core drilling system is available with the KBS252/PRO. Unit and stand sold separately: DKB-202/P-PRO and KBS252/PRO.

Drilling diameters and materials

The DKB-202/P-PRO drills wet in concrete and reinforced concrete, and dry with extraction in masonry, sand-lime brick, clinker and brick. When mounted on a stand, it utilises its full drilling range for ventilation ducts, waste water pipes and penetrations where the hole must be precisely positioned. When used handheld, it remains the quickest tool for heating and plumbing pipes, cable penetrations and back box cutters.

Motor and gearbox

The 2200-watt motor, operating at 230 V, is driven via a three-speed gearbox in an oil bath. In the stand, the large drill bit runs at full torque in first gear, whilst smaller diameters are drilled in third gear at high cutting speed.

• Gear 2, 1300 rpm: up to Ø 102 mm in the stand, up to Ø 82 mm when hand-held
• Speed 3, 2,600 rpm: up to Ø 62 mm in the column, up to Ø 42 mm hand-held

Additional functions

• Soft start: The motor starts at reduced speed; the drill bit engages without a torque surge. When mounted in the stand, this ensures a clean cut without the bit wandering.
• LED load indicator: Displays the current load, allowing the feed rate to be adjusted via the lever.
• Carbon brush warning system: Alerts the user to the need for a brush change before the machine fails. A replacement set is included.

Safety features

• Slip clutch: Mechanically disconnects the power transmission as soon as the drill bit becomes jammed.
• Electronic protection: Protected against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and overload.
• Protection class II: Protective insulation; no earth conductor required.

Core drill stand KBS252/PRO

The KBS252/PRO is a mid-range stand: sturdy enough for 250-series drill bits, yet weighing just 14.7 kg and therefore light enough for one person to carry. The unit is secured to the clamping collar via the 60 mm clamp holder, whilst feed is controlled via the lever with a 580 mm stroke. For angled drilling, the guide stand can be tilted up to 45 degrees; levelling screws and spirit levels on the base ensure the stand is precisely aligned. The attachable chassis turns the stand into a handcart for moving it to the next drilling point.

Mounting to wall, floor and ceiling

The stand is anchored to the substrate via the base plate; fixing materials are not included in the set. Our fixing accessories depend on the substrate:

• Kordel-Fix Set xl: Threaded rod with Kordel-Fix nut – quick to install and reusable. The first choice for repeated drilling into concrete.
• Concrete wall plugs and threaded rod: The classic anchoring method using metal wall plugs, suitable for any load-bearing concrete or masonry surface.
• Setting tool: For cleanly setting the anchors without damaging the thread.
