Drill bit sets for electricians and plumbers
A drill bit set contains the diameters most commonly required on a building site, all in a case. Our case set, comprising five Diamond core drill bits, is designed for electricians and plumbers who use a single tool to drill holes for sockets, cables and pipes.
What’s included in the sets
Five dry diamond core bits for concrete and masonry with a 1 1/4" UNC thread and a working length of 170 mm, supplied in a case. The diameters are listed with the set; they range from junction boxes to waste pipes. The 170 mm working length is only available in the set; it is designed for internal walls – for external walls, an extension is required.
Which set for which jobs
The set is compatible with our core drilling machines from the 202 series upwards, featuring a 1 1/4" UNC thread, for dry drilling with a Dust extraction attachment. If you’re mainly drilling for sockets, you’re better off with the back box cutters in 68 to 82 mm; if you’re wet drilling in reinforced concrete, the 450 mm wet diamond core bits are the better choice. Individual diameters for replacement are listed under ‘Dry diamond core bits’.
