Hex to M14 adapter: M14 tool on a hex drive
This adapter is ideal for fitting M14 tools to a machine with a hexagonal shank: hexagonal to M14 external thread, powder-coated steel. M14 tools are primarily used for tile drills and small diamond core bits for ceramics. Fits machines with a hexagonal shank that can achieve the tool’s rotational speed.

Hex to M14 adapter
This adapter is ideal for tools with an M14 thread on a machine with a hexagonal shank: hexagonal to M14 external. For back box cutters and core bits with an M16 thread, we offer our hexagonal to M16 adapter.
Thread and mounting
The adapter is inserted into the machine’s chuck with the hexagonal end facing inwards; the tool, with an M14 internal thread, is screwed onto the front. M14 is the spindle thread used on angle grinders, which is why tile drill bits and small diamond core bits for ceramics in particular have this connection.

Compatible drill bits and machines
We do not currently stock a drill bit with an M14 thread. The adapter is designed for M14 tools that you already own, such as tile drill bits and small diamond core bits from your stock. It is important that your machine with a hexagonal shank reaches the speed for which this tool is designed.
