SID202/H-Xtrem core drilling system with IDS252/V-PRO core drill stand for wet and dry drilling up to 202 mm

This set combines our SID202/H-Xtrem soft impact core drilling machine with the vibration-damping core drill stand for screw and Vacuum fixing: 2,600-watt brushless motor, two-speed gearbox in an oil bath, dry drilling with soft hammer action or wet drilling, up to Ø 202 mm when mounted on the stand, up to Ø 162 mm when hand-held, for concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry.

Identical in design to the P-handle version for wall drilling in confined spaces, the SID202/P-Xtrem core drilling system is available with the IDS252/V-PRO. Unit and stand sold separately: SID202/H-Xtrem and IDS252/V-PRO.

Drilling diameters and materials

The SID202/H-Xtrem drills in concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry using dry drilling with soft hammer action; the drilling dust is collected directly at the machine by the industrial vacuum cleaner. This is where its strength lies: air conditioning systems, heat pumps, building service entries and fibre-optic cables in places where water must not come into contact with the wall. Wet drilling without soft hammering remains the choice for very hard building materials, concrete with a high silica or quartz content, and large or deep drill holes.

Motor and gearbox

The brushless 2600-watt motor, operating at 230 V, requires no carbon brushes and operates via a mechanical two-speed gearbox in an oil bath. Large core bits run at full torque in first gear, small ones in second. The soft hammer action is activated via the mode selector ring on the drill spindle, providing a gentle hammering action in addition to the rotational movement. The lower gear is selected for reinforced concrete.

Additional functions

• Core ejection: If a core becomes stuck in the drill bit, press the switch three times quickly. A brief back-and-forth movement of the spindle loosens the core and stops automatically after 8 seconds.
• Soft start: Speed and power increase gradually when switched on; the drill bit makes clean contact with the chuck without slipping.
• LED indicator: The red LED indicates overload, allowing the feed to be reduced immediately using the lever; the yellow LED indicates overheating.

Safety features

• Kickback protection: Monitors the machine’s rotational movement and switches off if a jammed drill bit causes the machine to jerk.
• Slip clutch: Mechanically cuts off the power transmission as soon as the drill bit becomes jammed.
• Electronic protection: Protected against overload, overvoltage and overheating.
• Personal protection switch: PRCD in the power cable.
• Protection class: II

IDS252/V-PRO core drill stand

The IDS252/V-PRO is a mid-range stand with a variable base plate: secured by screws or by vacuum, with a vibration-damping design. The unit is secured to the clamping collar via a 60 mm clamp holder; the feed lever can be attached to either side of the carriage. An extendable guide rail in the base plate supports the drill bit during initial drilling until it has gripped the workpiece. For angled drilling, the guide stand can be tilted up to 45 degrees; levelling screws and a spirit level are used to align it.

Mounting to wall, floor and ceiling

The stand is secured either by screwing or using a vacuum; fixing materials and the Vacuum pump are not included in the set. According to the instructions, Vacuum fixing is only permitted on walls and floors; it is not permitted on ceilings; the surface must be level and stable; drilling should only commence once the pump maintains a vacuum of at least 0.7 bar. The stand is therefore always screwed into the ceiling. Our fixing accessories depend on the surface:

• Kordel-Fix Set L: Cord threaded rod with Kordel-Fix nut, quick to install and reusable. The first choice for repeated drilling in concrete.
• Concrete wall plugs and threaded rod: The classic anchoring method using metal wall plugs for load-bearing concrete; in brick walls, the instructions require a special masonry anchor.
• Anchor setter: For cleanly setting the anchors without damaging the thread.
• VP113/PRO vacuum pump: Creates the vacuum required for Vacuum fixing on smooth, solid floors and walls where drilling is not permitted.

Our compatible diamond core drill bits with 1 1/4" UNC: Soft-hammer dry diamond core bits for dry drilling, wet diamond core bits for use without soft-hammer action.
