SID352/PRO core drilling system with IDS352/V-PRO core drill stand for wet and dry drilling up to 352 mm

This set combines our 3-kW class stand-mounted Soft impact core drilling machine with the large vacuum stand: 3,300 watts, three-speed gearbox in an oil bath, dry with soft hammer action or wet, up to Ø 352 mm and 670 mm stroke, for concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry.

The drill and stand are also available separately: SID352/PRO and IDS352/V-PRO.

Drilling diameters and materials

When drilling dry with soft hammer action, the SID352/PRO drills into concrete and reinforced concrete; the drilling dust is channelled via the extraction adapter directly on the machine into an industrial vacuum cleaner. This eliminates the need to collect water and slurry in existing structures when drilling through building penetrations, service pipes and ventilation ducts. It drills wet without soft hammering in concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry, using a Water collection ring for vertical upward drilling.

Motor and gearbox

The 3300-watt motor, rated at 230 V and 16 A, operates via a three-speed gearbox in an oil bath. The soft hammer action is engaged via the mode selector ring on the drill spindle; this provides an additional hammering action alongside the rotational movement, which assists the drill bit during dry drilling. The rotational speed and hammering rate increase in unison across the gears; when drilling reinforced concrete, the next lower gear should be selected.

Additional functions

• Soft start: The drill bit engages without a torque surge, protecting the machine and the mains supply at start-up.
• LCD display and power level indicators: Show power consumption, power output, motor temperature and operating hours, allowing the feed rate to be adjusted via the lever according to the actual load.
• Carbon brush warning system: Shuts down the machine in good time and indicates when the brushes need replacing on the display. A replacement set is included.

Protective functions

• Slip clutch: Mechanically disconnects the power transmission as soon as the drill bit becomes jammed.
• Electronic protection: Protected against overload, overvoltage and overheating.
• Personal protection switch: PRCD in the mains cable.

Core drill stand IDS352/V-PRO

The IDS352/V-PRO is the large stand with a variable base plate: secured by screws or by vacuum, with a vibration-damping design. The unit is mounted on the feed carriage using the mounting adapter set with four screws and a key. The feed mechanism has two gear shafts: one for slow, powerful feed during drilling and one for rapid movement of the carriage. An extendable guide rail in the base plate supports the drill bit during initial drilling until it has gripped the workpiece. For angled drilling, the guide stand can be tilted up to 45 degrees; levelling screws and two spirit levels are used to align it, whilst the attached chassis is used to tilt and move it.

Mounting to wall, floor and ceiling

The stand is secured with screws or held in place by vacuum; fixing materials and the Vacuum pump are not included in the set. According to the instructions, Vacuum fixing is only permitted on walls and floors; it is not permitted on ceilings; the surface must be level and stable; drilling should only commence once the pump maintains a vacuum of at least 0.7 bar. The stand is therefore always bolted to the ceiling. Our fixing accessories depend on the surface:

• Kordel-Fix Set XL: Cord threaded rod with Kordel-Fix nut xl for the 25 mm groove; quick to install and reusable. The first choice for repeated drilling in concrete.
• Concrete wall plugs and threaded rod: The classic anchoring method using metal wall plugs for load-bearing concrete; in brick walls, the instructions require a special masonry anchor.
• Setting tool: For cleanly setting the anchors without damaging the thread.
• VP113/PRO vacuum pump: Creates the vacuum required for Vacuum fixing on smooth, solid floors and walls where dowelling is not permitted.

Our compatible diamond core drill bits with 1 1/4" UNC: Soft-hammer dry diamond core bits for dry drilling, wet diamond core bits for use without soft-hammer action.
