WSA102 Water and Dust Extraction System: Water collection ring up to Ø 102 mm for core drilling machines

The WSA102 is ideal for plumbers and electricians who need to drill through concrete using a wet method whilst keeping the wall, floor and machine clean, for example in occupied rooms or when drilling upwards: a plastic water collection ring for drill bits up to Ø 102 mm, which fits around the drilling site and channels the mixture of cooling water and drilling slurry into the wet vacuum via the 38 mm connection. For core bits up to Ø 152 mm, we offer our larger WSA152 model.

This is how the drilling fluid is collected

The ring is positioned at the drilling site, with the drill bit passing through the drill seal at its centre. As soon as the wet vacuum is connected, its negative pressure holds the ring in place; no further securing is required. Water and slurry are extracted before they run down the wall or reach the machine. For vertical drilling upwards, the operating instructions for our core drilling rigs specify the use of a Water collection ring; for wet drilling, they generally recommend it. Without water, the same ring extracts the drilling dust. After the job is complete, it is removed and cleaned.

WSA102 or WSA152

The ring is selected according to the largest core bit being used. The WSA102 is suitable for drill holes up to 102 mm, for example for cable and conduit pipes, heating and plumbing pipes. If you are using the same machine to drill larger holes, choose our WSA152, which is suitable for up to 152 mm. In both cases, the drill seal adjusts the seal to the diameter of the core bit.

Compatible with these core drilling machines

• DKB102/H: Wet drilling in concrete and reinforced concrete up to Ø 102 mm; the WSA102 covers the entire drilling range.
• DKB-202/H-PRO and DKB-202/P-PRO: Wet drilling up to Ø 162 mm when hand-held and up to Ø 202 mm when mounted on a stand; the WSA102 is for smaller core bits up to 102 mm.
• SID202/H-Xtrem and SID202/P-Xtrem: Wet drilling without soft hammering, with the WSA102 for core bits up to 102 mm.

The WSA is compatible with core drilling rigs with and without a stand; all rigs are listed under our core drilling equipment.

What else is required

The WSA102 requires a wet vacuum with a hose for the 38 mm connection. Our industrial vacuum cleaners are designed for dry dust and do not collect drilling water. Depending on the diameter of the respective core bit, our drilling seal for the WSA102 is also required; this is replaced when worn or for a different core bit diameter.

The WSA102 water and dust extraction unit is supplied. The wet vacuum cleaner is not included.
