The Ø 77 mm wet diamond core bit is ideal for core drilling in concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry using our core drilling machines and core drilling systems: 7 laser-welded segments, 10 mm high, 450 mm working length, internal diameter 69 mm for the core.
- Ø 77 mm: for DN 70 waste water pipes with a tight fit.
- Segments for reinforced concrete: withstand reinforcing bars; long service life thanks to water cooling.
- Fits any machine with a 1 1/4" UNC thread: hand-held or mounted on a stand; with a centring tip, it can also be positioned cleanly freehand.

450 mm wet diamond core bit for concrete and reinforced concrete, Ø 16 to 500 mm, 1 1/4" UNC
This wet diamond core bit is ideal for core drilling in concrete and reinforced concrete, from cable penetrations to large building entries, all using the same bit in the appropriate size: 33 diameters ranging from Ø 16 to 500 mm, all with a working length of 450 mm and 1 1/4" UNC. The premium segments are laser-welded rather than soldered, which is why the bit can withstand drilling through reinforcement. For those who prefer to work without water in non-reinforced concrete, masonry and brickwork, our dry diamond core bit with a 400 mm working length is the ideal choice.
Diameter and shank
The sizes correspond to the dimensions required on the building site: 52 and 62 mm for pipe penetrations, 82 mm for junction boxes and small pipes, 102 to 132 mm for waste water pipes, and 152 to 202 mm for ventilation. Above these sizes, building penetrations and large openings begin, which can only be drilled using a Core drill stand. With a working length of 450 mm, the core bit passes through walls and ceilings of standard thickness in a single pass; for thicker structures , our 1 1/4" UNC extensions allow the drilling depth to be extended by either 100, 250 or 500 mm. The 1 1/4" UNC thread screws directly onto the spindle of our core drilling machines; no adapter is required.

Segments and construction
During laser welding, the segment fuses with the core body; the joint is stronger and more durable than a brazed seam and withstands the high stresses encountered during drilling. This is why the same core performs equally well in mixed masonry as it does in reinforced concrete. The segments feature a high-quality diamond coating with uniform grain distribution; their performance derives from their composition, not their shape. As the diameter increases, so does the number of segments, ensuring a consistent cut even with large core bits.

Materials and wet drilling
The core bit drills through concrete, reinforced concrete, masonry and bricks. The water cools the segments, flushes the drill cuttings out of the borehole and binds the dust, which protects the tool and enables a faster feed rate. Water is supplied continuously at low pressure, either via the machine’s water connection or, where no pipework is available, via our WT60 water pressure tank. Without water, the segments overheat and lose their cutting effectiveness.

Compatible machines
The core bit is designed for use with a non-hammer core drilling rig; on our soft impact core drilling machines, it must only be used with the soft impact function switched off. For drilling from Ø 42 mm, our centring tip – designed for 450 mm core bits – guides the core bit until a guide circle has formed. The diameter determines which of our machines is suitable:
- DKB102/H: For smaller sizes, hand-held in reinforced concrete up to Ø 82 mm and in a Core drill stand up to Ø 102 mm. The core bit is mounted on the supplied M16 to 1 1/4" UNC adapter.
- DKB-202/H-PRO and DKB-202/P-PRO: Hand-held up to Ø 162 mm; when used in a Core drill stand, up to Ø 202 mm. The H-handle provides control when working on ceilings and floors, whilst the P-handle is shorter and suitable for walls and confined spaces.
- DKB352/PRO: For use only in a core drill stand, up to Ø 402 mm. For building penetrations, ventilation and flue pipes.
- DKB502/PRO: For use only in a core drill stand, up to Ø 502 mm, making it the tool for 450 and 500 mm core bits.
