M12 threaded rod with BFS-PRO wing nut, 175 mm, for Core drill stands

The threaded rod with wing nut is ideal for core drill stands that are bolted to the base using dowels and require a rod, large nut and washer as part of a fixing set: 175 mm long, M12 thread for the dowel, tightened with a SW 27 spanner. This is precisely the combination specified in the instructions for our IDS stands as a fixing set, hence the name BFS-PRO – fixing set for pro use. If you frequently reposition the stand and need to compensate for crooked poles, opt for our Kordel-Fix sets in size L or size xl with an adjustable nut.

How to fix the stand

An M12 fixing dowel is firmly set into the concrete at the drilling point, and the threaded rod is screwed in vertically, at a right angle to the stand base. The stand is positioned over the rod with the groove in the base plate aligned, then the washer and wing nut rest flat against the base and are tightened using a SW 27 ring spanner or open-ended spanner. As the wing nut has no joint, the correct positioning of the rod determines how securely it is fixed. If the rod shows any signs of deformation or visible damage, it must be replaced immediately.

Compatible with these core drill stands

The instructions for these stands and plates specify a threaded rod and a wing nut as the fastening method:

IDS252/V-PRO: Screw-mounted up to Ø 252 mm; the rod holds the stand in place unless it is secured by vacuum.
IDS352/V-PRO: Screw-mounted up to Ø 352 mm; same fixing method via the groove in the base plate.
VGP420/PRO: Our vacuum plate comes with a threaded rod with a flanged nut in the same dimensions (Ø 16.8 mm, 175 mm); this rod is suitable as a replacement.

What else is required

The anchor is not included: our M12 concrete anchors are installed at each drilling point; our setting tool drives them in without damaging the thread.
