1 1/4" UNC to M16 adapter: back box cutters and small core bits for large core drilling machines
The adapter is ideal for back box cutters and small drill bits with an M16 shank on a core drill: 1 1/4" UNC internal thread to M16 external thread, powder-coated steel. Switching back to the large drill bit takes just a moment. Fits all our core drilling machines with a 1 1/4" UNC spindle.

1 1/4" UNC to M16 adapter
This adapter is ideal for back box cutters and small core bits with an M16 thread on a core drilling machine with a 1 1/4" UNC thread, without the need to purchase a second machine: 1 1/4" UNC internal thread to M16 external thread. For accessories with an M18 thread, we offer our 1 1/4" UNC to M18 adapter.
Thread and mounting
The internal thread is screwed onto the spindle that would otherwise hold the large core bit; the M16 thread for back box cutters and small core bits is then available at the front. Switching back to the large core bit takes just a moment: unscrew the adapter, screw on the core bit.

Compatible core bits and machines
The adapter fits all our core drilling machines with a 1 1/4" UNC spindle. Our DKB-202/H-PRO and our SID202/H-Xtrem soft-hammer drill, which can also drill dry into concrete when the soft-hammer function is engaged, are particularly suitable for hand-held back box cutters. The following fit the M16 thread:
- Our M16 back box cutters: Ø 68 / 72 / 76 / 82 mm for flush-mounted sockets in masonry, sand-lime brick and clay brick; suitable for soft-hammer drilling.
- Our M16 dry diamond core bits with a working length of 160 mm: Ø 32 / 42 / 92 / 102 / 112 / 122 / 132 / 142 / 152 mm for concrete, masonry, brick and lightweight concrete.
- Our M16 adapter with 8 x 120 mm Pilot drill: to be used between the adapter and the back box cutter when starting with a Pilot drill.
