BT158XL industrial dehumidifier with condensate pump, 158 litres for rooms up to 100 m²

The BT158XL is the largest unit in our range of industrial dehumidifiers: 158 litres in 24 hours, 1,200 m³/h air circulation, condensate pump, 50 kg, for rooms from 80 to 100 m².

For rooms measuring 60 to 80 m², we offer our BT80 with a condensate pump; for rooms measuring 40 to 60 m², our BT60 with a 6-litre collection tank.

Room size and application

The BT158XL is used to dry out new builds and screeds, rooms following water damage, and damp walls prior to painting and plastering work. Its operating range is 80 to 100 m² of floor area or 200 to 250 m³ of room volume, at room temperatures of 5 to 35 °C and a relative humidity of 30 to 80 per cent. Windows and doors must remain closed during the drying process.

Dehumidification capacity

The compressor cools the intake air to such an extent that the moisture condenses; the dry air is then returned to the room. With a capacity of up to 158 litres per day and 1,200 m³ of air per hour, the BT158XL is the most powerful unit in the range – twice as powerful as the BT80. The time taken to dehumidify a room depends on the building materials, humidity and temperature; the performance reserve ensures that large rooms do not require two units.

Additional functions

• Condensate pump: Pumps condensate via the supplied hose up to a height of 2 m into a drainpipe or a collection container. The hose can be extended up to 20 m.
• Operating hours counter: Digitally records the operating time, serving as a basis for maintenance, rental billing and insurance documentation.
• Fault diagnosis: Displays detected faults as a code on the screen.
• Automatic shut-off: Switches the unit off once the target humidity has been reached. At low room temperatures, a defrost cycle runs; the compressor stops, but the fan continues to run.

Installation, operation and draining

The BT158XL is positioned in the centre of the room; the condensate hose is routed to the drain or a container, after which it operates unattended. Feet and wheels keep the 50 kg unit stable whilst still allowing it to be moved; the carrying handle is used for pulling and carrying. Maintenance consists solely of regularly cleaning the air filter.

Technical Specifications

Refrigerant

The BT158XL operates on propane (R290), with a charge of 380 g. Propane has a low global warming potential and no ozone-depleting potential, and it cools efficiently, which reduces power consumption whilst maintaining the same dehumidification capacity.

Connection and power consumption

The unit operates at 230 V / 50 Hz with a power consumption of 1,650 watts; the power cable is 1.8 m long.

Noise level

At 55 to 60 dB(A), the BT158XL runs just as quietly as the smaller BT80, allowing it to be used in occupied buildings.
