Diamond cutting disc, Ø 500 mm, for asphalt, wet cutting, for use with a Floor saw
This diamond cutting disc is ideal for making deep cuts in asphalt using a Floor saw, for road widening, repairs or for cable and pipe routes: Ø 500 mm, 30 segments, each 10 mm high and 40 mm long, with a diamond bond specifically designed for asphalt. It is the asphalt blade for our SuperCut 500X floor saw. For concrete, we offer our Ø 500 mm diamond cutting disc for concrete in the same size.
Segments and construction
Asphalt is softer than concrete and tends to stick to the cut surface. This is why the configuration and bonding of the diamonds differ from those of the concrete blade: the segments do not become clogged, the cutting edge remains clean, and the blade cuts faster in the softer material. The segment geometry keeps heat build-up at the cutting edge to a minimum, which protects both the segments and the body.

Materials and wet cutting
The blade is designed for asphalt, i.e. for roads, courtyards and paths. The large diameter allows for deeper cuts, as required for larger asphalt surfaces in road construction and maintenance. Cutting is carried out wet; the water binds the asphalt dust and cools the segments.

Compatible machines
The blade is designed for our SuperCut 500X floor saw, the operating instructions for which explicitly list it as a suitable asphalt blade. At 500 mm, it utilises the machine’s maximum blade diameter and thus its cutting depth of up to 190 mm; the on-board 25-litre Water pressure tank supplies water for wet cutting. It will also run on other floor saws designed for 500 mm blades, provided the mounting and permissible speed are compatible.
