KBS252/PRO core drill stand for core drilling up to 252 mm

The KBS252/PRO is our mid-range core drilling stand: up to Ø 252 mm, weighing 14.7 kg, with a 580 mm stroke, a guide column that can be tilted up to 45 degrees, a clamping holder for a 60 mm clamping collar, and a detachable trolley.

As a lighter entry-level alternative to the DKB252/Xtrem, there is the KBS252/Light-K; for Vacuum fixing without dowels, there is the IDS252/V-PRO with the same drilling range.

Drilling diameter and direction

With the KBS252/PRO, core drilling rigs can drill up to a diameter of 252 mm – a range that cannot be kept clean when operated by hand: ventilation ducts, waste water pipes, and penetrations for multiple cables. The stand can be used on the floor or against a wall; for angled drilling, the guide stand can be continuously tilted up to 45 degrees.

Fixing and stability

The base plate is anchored to the substrate using a wall plug and a threaded rod, or with the Kordel-Fix set. For brick walls, the instructions specify the use of a special masonry anchor, as a concrete hammer-in anchor could crack the brick and become loose. Four levelling screws on the base and the integrated spirit levels ensure the stand is precisely aligned, so that the drill hole is at a right angle and the drill bit does not tilt. The fixing materials are not supplied with the stand; our fixing accessories depend on the substrate:

• Kordel-Fix Set xl: Threaded rod with kordel-fix nut, quick to install and reusable. The first choice for repeated drilling in concrete.
• Concrete wall plugs and threaded rod: The classic anchoring method using metal wall plugs, suitable for any load-bearing concrete or masonry surface.
• Anchor driver: For clean insertion of the anchors without damaging the thread.

Feed mechanism, carriage and transport

The feed is operated via the lever on the carriage; with a stroke of 580 mm, there is sufficient travel for long drill bits and extensions without the need to reposition the machine. For transport, the chassis with two wheels is attached to the base, allowing the stand to roll across the building site like a handcart.

Compatible core drilling machines

The connection is made via the 60 mm clamping holder, which accommodates any core drilling machine with a 60 mm clamping collar. For machines with a different mounting, our adapter plate is available. The following core drilling machines from our range are compatible:

• DKB-202/H-PRO and DKB-202/P-PRO: wet and dry core drilling machines, up to Ø 202 mm when mounted on a stand.
• SID202/H-Xtrem and SID202/P-Xtrem: soft impact core drilling machines for fast dry drilling, up to Ø 202 mm on the stand.
