KBS352/XL-PRO core drill stand for core drilling up to 352 mm

The KBS352/XL-PRO is our heavy-duty long core drilling stand: up to Ø 352 mm, 1, 600 mm stroke, 2 m guide column, 25 kg, two toothed shafts, tiltable up to 45 degrees, mounting adapter, with attachable trolley.

For larger diameters with a shorter stroke, we offer our KBS352/PRO.

Drilling diameter and drilling direction

With the KBS352/XL-PRO, core drilling rigs can drill up to 352 mm in diameter, the range required for building penetrations, ventilation and chimney flues. The stroke of 1600 mm is also the maximum drilling depth, so a deep borehole can be drilled in a single pass using extensions, without having to reposition the stand. The stand can be used on the floor or against a wall; for angled drilling, the guide stand can be tilted up to 45 degrees using the scale.

Fixing and stability

The base plate is anchored to the substrate using a wall plug and a threaded rod, or with the Kordel-Fix set. In brick walls, the instructions specify the use of a special masonry anchor, as a concrete hammer-in anchor could break the brick and become loose. Four levelling screws and two spirit levels align the stand; with the long guide stand, this determines where the drill hole emerges on the other side. The fixing materials are not supplied with the stand; our fixing accessories depend on the substrate:

• Kordel-Fix Set xl: threaded rod with Kordel-Fix nut – quick to install and reusable. The first choice for repeated drilling in concrete.
• Concrete wall plugs and threaded rod: The classic anchoring method using metal wall plugs for load-bearing concrete.
• Setting tool: For cleanly setting the anchors without damaging the thread.

Feed, carriage and transport

The carriage has two gear shafts: on the upper shaft, the feed runs slowly and powerfully during drilling; on the lower shaft, the carriage moves quickly into position. A safety catch secures the carriage and the machine to prevent anything from sinking when changing the drill bit. For transport, the chassis is bolted to the base plate; the stand is then tilted backwards and pushed on its wheels. When set up, it requires sufficient space due to its height of 2170 mm.

Compatible core drilling machines

The supplied mounting adapter is screwed to the unit using four M8 bolts and a key, and inserted into the carriage; a 60 mm clamping collar alone is not sufficient here. The following core drilling machines from our range are compatible:

• DKB352/PRO: 3,300-watt wet core drill. In the xl stand, up to Ø 352 mm; the stand sets the limit here.
• DKB502/pro: 3,500-watt wet core drill; also up to Ø 352 mm when used with the xl stand.
• SID352/PRO: Soft impact core drilling machine up to Ø 352 mm, wet and dry. For drilling with soft impact action, the manufacturer recommends our IDS352/V-PRO.
