The SuperCut 500X is our petrol-powered floor saw: Cutting discs up to 500 mm, cutting depth up to 190 mm, Loncin G420F with 11.7 kW / 16 PS, 25-litre Water pressure tank for wet cutting, 151 kg, for concrete (including reinforced concrete) and asphalt.

Materials and cutting depth

With the right diamond cutting disc, the SuperCut cuts concrete – including reinforced concrete – and asphalt, always wet and always in a straight line: joints in concrete surfaces, cuts in road construction, trenches for laying pipes and cables. For deep cuts, a stepped cut is recommended: first a pilot cut of 20 to 30 mm, then deeper in 50-mm increments; this protects both the blade and the machine.

Drive and water cooling

The Loncin G420F is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 420 cm³, compliant with the EURO 5 emissions standard. It delivers 11.7 kW and 28 Nm and drives the blade via a belt; cutting is always carried out at full throttle to ensure that the speed does not drop during cutting. The cooling water is supplied either from the tank on the machine or, via the Gardena coupling, from an external source; a ball valve on the blade cover regulates the flow. This keeps the blade cool and binds the dust.

Additional features

• Cutting depth indicator: The scale, marked in centimetres and inches, can be manually reset to zero as soon as the disc makes contact with the surface; it then displays the actual cutting depth.
• Cutting line guide: A folding arm with a guide wheel runs along the marking in front of the machine; the wheel is precisely aligned with the disc via a threaded rod.
• Height-adjustable operating handle: This is adjusted to the operator’s height before work begins.
• Blade on the right or left: The blade is fitted on the right as standard; the cover can be refitted to the other side, depending on which side the cut needs to be made close to the edge.
• Storage compartment: Holds tools and the operating instructions within easy reach of the control panel.

Safety features

• Emergency stop switch: Stops the motor immediately; the cutting disc comes to a halt. To unlock, turn the knob.
• Cutting disc guard: The rear section is securely bolted in place; the spring-loaded front section lies flush against the cut and is only folded up to change the disc when the motor is switched off.
• Parking brake: A locking bar secures the rear wheels when setting up, refuelling and parking.
• Cutting depth lock: Maintains the set depth during cutting.

Guidance, blade replacement and transport

Before cutting, mark the line on the ground, fold down the guide and position the machine with the parking brake engaged. At full throttle, lower the blade using the handwheel, reset the display to zero and push the machine forwards evenly, only fast enough to ensure the engine speed does not drop. The blade is changed with the engine switched off using a SW 24 open-ended spanner; the machine remains stationary and must never be tilted. It is moved by pushing it by the operating handle or lifting it by the crane eye; when folded, it is 700 mm shorter.

Suitable cutting discs

The disc should be selected according to the substrate; it must be approved for speeds exceeding 2,400 rpm. Suitable options from our range include:

• Diamond cutting disc for concrete, Ø 500 mm: For joints and cuts in concrete with a full cutting depth of 190 mm, 30 segments, wet.
• Diamond cutting disc for asphalt, Ø 500 mm: For road construction, with a bond that cuts freely through soft, sticky asphalt, full cutting depth, wet.
