SID352/PRO soft impact core drilling machine for wet and dry drilling up to 352 mm on a core drill stand

The SID352/PRO is the stand-mounted soft impact core drilling machine in the 3 kW class: 3,300 watts, three-speed gearbox in an oil bath, for dry drilling with soft hammer action or wet drilling, in a Core drill stand up to Ø 352 mm, for concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry. It is not intended for hand-held use.

If you purchase the machine and stand together, the SID352/PRO is available as the SID352/PRO core drilling system with the IDS352/V-PRO.

Drilling diameters and materials

When used dry with soft hammer action, the SID352/PRO drills into concrete and reinforced concrete; the drilling dust is channelled via the extraction adapter directly on the machine into an industrial vacuum cleaner. This eliminates the need to collect water and slurry when drilling through building penetrations, service pipes and ventilation ducts. It drills wet without soft hammering in concrete, reinforced concrete, stone and masonry. Both adapters are included; the machine must not be used as a hand-held tool.

Motor and gearbox

The 3300-watt motor, rated at 230 V and 16 A, operates via a three-speed gearbox in an oil bath. The soft hammer action is engaged via the mode selector ring on the drill spindle; this provides a hammering action in addition to the rotational movement, which assists the Diamond core drill bit during dry drilling; when deactivated, the machine operates in normal drilling mode. The diameters per gear apply to concrete of average hardness; for reinforced concrete, the next lower gear should be selected.

Additional functions

• Soft start: Speed and power increase gradually when switched on; the drill bit engages without a torque surge, and both the machine and the mains supply are protected during start-up.
• LCD display and power level indicators: Show voltage, current draw, power consumption, motor temperature and operating hours, plus warning symbols as soon as a safety function is triggered. This allows the feed rate to be adjusted during drilling according to the actual load.
• Carbon brush warning system: Shuts off the machine and displays a message indicating that the brushes need replacing before worn carbon brushes damage the motor. A replacement set is included.

Protective functions

• Slip clutch: Mechanically disconnects the power transmission as soon as the drill bit becomes jammed in the borehole; the spindle comes to a standstill.
• Electronic protection: Protected against overload, overvoltage and overheating, with red and yellow warning LEDs.
• Personal protection switch: PRCD in the mains cable.

On the core drill stand

The SID352/PRO is secured to the Core drill stand via its interface using four hex socket screws and a key; the fixing materials are supplied with the stand. Water or extraction is supplied to the machine via the same GEKA coupling, using either the Gardena or extraction adapter depending on the method; a water collection ring is included for wet drilling vertically upwards. The unit has a carrying handle. The spindle accommodates drill bits and centring tips; a jammed bit can be released using the supplied quick-release ring and the two open-ended spanners.

Compatible core drill stands and drill bits

For the SID352/PRO, the manufacturer recommends our IDS352/V-PRO: up to Ø 352 mm, vibration-damping and designed for soft-hammer drilling, to be fixed with dowels or via Vacuum fixing on smooth floors and walls. The unit is also compatible with our KBS352/PRO, KBS352/XL-PRO and KBS502/PRO; for soft-hammer drilling, the IDS352/V-PRO is the better choice due to its greater stability and vibration-damping handle.

For dry drilling with soft-hammer action, our soft-hammer dry diamond core bits with a working length of 450 mm are suitable for diameters up to 305 mm, whilst our soft-hammer dry diamond core bits with a working length of 300 mm are suitable for diameters up to 202 mm.
