M18 to M16 adapter made of galvanised steel: M16 tool on an M18 spindle
The adapter is ideal for fitting M16 tools to a machine with an M18 spindle: M18 internal to M16 external, made from galvanised steel. No additional tool is required. Fits our SID132/Xtrem and accommodates our M16 back box cutters.

M18 internal to M16 external adapter made from galvanised steel
This adapter is ideal for back box cutters or core bits with an M16 thread on a machine with an M18 spindle: M18 internal thread for the machine, M16 external thread for the tool, made from galvanised steel. For core bits with a 1 1/4" UNC thread, we offer our M18 to 1 1/4" UNC adapter.
Thread and mounting
The adapter is screwed onto the machine spindle via the internal thread, whilst the tool is fitted to the external thread. This allows an M16 tool to be used on an M18 machine without the need for a second device. The galvanised finish protects the adapter if it becomes damp during wet drilling.

Compatible machines and tools
The adapter connects our soft-hammer drill with an M18 spindle to our M16 tools:
- Our SID132/Xtrem: This soft impact core drilling machine has an M18 external spindle and drills dry in concrete up to Ø 132 mm and in masonry up to Ø 202 mm.
- Our back box cutters: With an M16 shank, Ø 68 to 82 mm, for switch and distribution sockets in masonry. The adapter also holds the Pilot drill in the centre, which guides the cutter during initial drilling.
- Our M16 extension: For use when the working length of the core bit or back box cutter is insufficient.
