The soft-hammer dry diamond core bit, Ø 77 mm, is ideal for dry core drilling in concrete, reinforced concrete and brick using our soft impact core drilling machines: 8 diamond segments, 10 mm high, 300 mm working length, inner diameter 69 mm for the core.
- Ø 77 mm: for DN 70 waste water pipes with a tight fit.
- Segments for soft-hammer drilling: cut dry in reinforced concrete; long service life when used with a Dust extraction attachment.

300 mm soft-hammer dry diamond core bit for concrete and reinforced concrete, Ø 32 to 202 mm, 1 1/4" UNC
The soft-hammer dry diamond core bit is ideal for drilling through concrete and reinforced concrete in occupied buildings without producing water or slurry: 20 diameters ranging from Ø 32 to 202 mm, 300 mm working length, designed for core drilling machines with soft impact function engaged. For thicker structural elements, our soft impact dry diamond core bit with a 450 mm working length is available up to Ø 305 mm.
Diameters and shank types
The range covers exactly the same scope as our 202 mm soft-hammer tools: 52 and 62 mm for pipe penetrations, 82 mm for junction boxes and small pipes, 102 to 132 mm for waste pipes, 152 to 202 mm for ventilation. The 300 mm working length is sufficient for internal walls and ceilings and keeps the bit short and manoeuvrable, which is important when drilling freehand. The 1 1/4" UNC thread screws directly onto the spindle.

Segments and construction
The core bit is designed for soft-hammer core drilling: the machine’s gentle hammering action, in addition to rotation, keeps the diamond segments cutting effectively in reinforced concrete, dry and without cooling water. The high-quality segments, 10 mm high, deliver precise cutting performance and a longer service life. The number of segments increases with the diameter.

Materials and dry drilling
With the soft-hammer function engaged, the core bit drills dry in concrete, reinforced concrete and brick; without the soft-hammer function, it drills in brick, lightweight concrete, screed and Ytong. In reinforced concrete, the dust extraction attachment is essential: without it, drill dust and hot steel chips will damage the segments. After drilling to a depth of no more than 5 cm, the core bit must therefore be withdrawn far enough for the industrial vacuum cleaner to extract the cuttings; this protects the segments and extends their service life. Suitable machines
The core bit is designed for use with a soft impact core drilling machine. On SID rigs, our centring tip for 300 mm core bits with a total length of 364 mm guides the core bit from a diameter of 42 mm during initial drilling. Which of our rigs is suitable depends on the diameter and application:
- SID202/H-Xtrem: Hand-held up to Ø 162 mm, in a Core drill stand up to Ø 202 mm and therefore suitable for the entire range. The H-handle provides control when drilling into ceilings and floors.
- SID202/P-Xtrem: Identical in construction to the P-handle model, easy to handle on walls and in confined spaces.
- SID352/PRO: For use in a core drill stand only; drills all sizes in this range and, with the 450 mm core bit, up to Ø 305 mm.
- SID132/Xtrem: The lightweight hand-held unit for through-holes up to Ø 132 mm. The core bit is mounted on the M18 spindle via our M18 Dust extraction attachment on a 1 1/4" UNC thread.
