The setting tool features a hand guard with a thick rubber rim and an ergonomically shaped handle. It is ideal for driving threaded anchors straight and firmly into concrete to secure Core drill stands. Suitable for use with our galvanised M12 and M14 concrete anchors.

Setter with hand guard for M12 and M14 metal threaded anchors
This setting tool is ideal for core drill operators and plumbers who anchor their core drill stands in concrete using metal threaded anchors: It drives M12 and M14 threaded anchors straight and securely into the drill hole, whilst the hand guard with its thick rubber rim keeps the hand out of the hammer’s impact zone. Anyone who moves a stand several times a day and drives in a new anchor each time will notice the difference in their hand and in the anchor, which sits securely and accepts the threaded rod without the need for reworking.
How to set the anchor
Use the hammer drill to drill the fixing hole at the marked point, insert the wall plug and drive it in using the fitted setting plate and a hammer until it sits firmly in the concrete. The contoured handle provides a secure grip, even when a firm blow is required. The threaded rod is then screwed in and the stand base tightened over it. In brick walls, the instructions for our Core drill stands require a special masonry anchor, as a hammer-in plug can break the brick and become loose.

Compatible with these anchors and rods
The setting tool is essential for any installation using hammer-in anchors, where a upright is screwed to the anchor and threaded rod:
- Galvanised concrete wall plugs: Our M12 x 45 mm and M14 x 55 mm wall plugs in packs of 20 – exactly the sizes for which the setting tool is designed.
- M12 threaded rod (210 mm): Is screwed into the set M12 anchor and supports the kordel-fix nut.
- M12 threaded rod with wing nut: Rod with a fixed nut and washer for the M12 anchor – the classic fastening method for our IDS stands.

Contents of delivery
Supplied with a setting iron and hand guard. Dowels and a hammer are not included.
