WSA152 Water and Dust Extraction System: Water collection ring up to Ø 152 mm for core drilling machines

The WSA152 is ideal for core drilling contractors and plumbers who need to drill larger wet holes through concrete whilst keeping the wall, floor and machine clean, whether mounted on a stand or operated by hand: a plastic water collection ring for drill bits up to Ø 152 mm, which collects the mixture of cooling water and drilling slurry at the drilling site and feeds it into the wet vacuum via the 38 mm connection. For core bits up to Ø 102 mm, we offer our smaller WSA102 model.

This is how the drilling fluid is collected

The ring is positioned at the drilling site, with the core bit passing through the drill seal at its centre. As soon as the wet vacuum is running at the connection, its vacuum holds the ring securely in place; no further fastening is required. Water and mud are extracted before they run down the wall or reach the machine. For vertical drilling upwards, the operating instructions for our core drilling rigs specify the use of a Water collection ring; for wet drilling, they generally recommend it. Without water, the same ring extracts the drilling dust. After the job is complete, it is removed and cleaned.

WSA152, WSA102 or water collection elbow

The water collection unit is selected according to the largest core bit in use. The WSA152 covers all core bits up to 152 mm and is the ideal choice when a single unit is used for small and medium-sized openings. Our WSB water collection elbow is designed for larger wall drill holes:

• WSA102: core bits up to 102 mm
• WSA152: core bits up to 152 mm
• WSB water collection elbow: 300 / 500 / 1000 / 1500 mm

Compatible with these core drilling machines

• DKB-202/H-PRO and DKB-202/P-PRO: Wet drilling up to Ø 162 mm handheld and up to Ø 202 mm on a stand; the WSA152 covers most of this range.
• SID202/H-Xtrem and SID202/P-Xtrem: Wet drilling without soft hammering, on a stand up to Ø 202 mm.
• DKB352/PRO, SID352/PRO and DKB502/PRO: Our stand-mounted units for large diameters. For vertical drilling upwards, the Water collection ring is essential; the WSA152 accommodates core bits up to 152 mm.

The WSA is compatible with core drilling rigs with and without a stand; all rigs are listed under our core drilling equipment.

What else is required

The WSA152 requires a wet vacuum with a hose for the 38 mm connection. Our industrial vacuum cleaners are designed for dry dust and do not collect drilling fluid. Depending on the diameter of the respective core bit, our core bit seal for the WSA152 is also required; this is replaced when worn or for a different core bit diameter.

Contents of the delivery

The WSA152 water and dust extraction unit is supplied. The wet vacuum cleaner is not included.
