The Pilot drill is ideal for precisely positioning the core bit by hand: Ø 8 mm, 160 mm long, with a tapered shank. It pre-drills the hole and is removed as soon as the core bit is in place. Fits our SID132/Xtrem soft impact core drilling machine.

Pilot drill for SID132/Xtrem, Ø 8 mm, 160 mm long
The pilot drill is ideal for drilling sockets and small holes by hand using our SID132/Xtrem, ensuring the drill bit is positioned precisely on the marked line: Ø 8 mm, 160 mm long, with a tapered shank. For back box cutters on adaptors with a Morse taper, we offer our ZB pilot drill.
Application and dimensions
The Pilot drill sits in the centre of the drill bit and pre-drills before the segments come into contact with the material. This ensures the drill bit is correctly positioned and does not veer off course whilst drilling, particularly when guided by hand on smooth surfaces. Once the bit is properly aligned, the Pilot drill is removed and drilling continues without it.

Compatible machine
The pilot drill is designed for our Soft impact core drilling machine SID132/Xtrem, which was sold under the name DKS-132/DC-H until 2026 and is capable of hand-held dry drilling in concrete up to Ø 132 mm and in masonry up to Ø 202 mm.
