Dust-control brush ring for the BSM250 floor grinder
The two-piece aluminium ring seals off the sanding head towards the floor with soft brushes. It is ideal for dry sanding with extraction, as the dust remains beneath the head. Suitable for our BSM250/Xtrem and BSM250/E-PRO models.

Dust-control brush ring, two-piece, for the BSM250 floor grinder
The dust-control brush ring is ideal for floor fitters and renovators who use our BSM250 for dry sanding and want to keep the sanding dust where the vacuum can collect it: a two-piece aluminium ring fitted to the sanding head, featuring soft brushes that extend down towards the floor. The brushes keep the dust beneath the head whilst also making it easier to manoeuvre the machine. It is fitted as standard on our BSM250/Xtrem and is available here as a replacement part; on our BSM250/E-PRO, it is a retrofit option.
How the brush ring contains the dust
The rapid rotation of the sanding disc flings dust outwards. The brush ring catches it at the edge of the sanding head, so that it is drawn into the industrial vacuum via the extraction connection rather than being dispersed into the room. Before each use and at regular intervals, check that the ring is securely fitted and that the brushes are still effective; a damaged or worn ring must be replaced. When dry sanding, we also recommend wearing a dust mask and safety goggles.

Compatible with these floor grinders
- BSM250/Xtrem: Supplied as standard with a brush ring. The ring is the spare part to use if the brushes are worn or damaged; the retrofit ring is identical in construction to the standard ring.
- BSM250/E-PRO: Supplied ex-works with a two-piece dust guard on the sanding head and a dust guard strap. According to the operating instructions, the brush ring is the alternative to the strap; the brushes guide the machine more smoothly across the floor.
The ring is clamped to the sanding head using grub screws. For the dust guard fitted to the E-PRO as standard, our plastic dust guard is available as a spare part. All machines can be found under our floor grinders section.

The brush ring contains the dust, which is then extracted by the vacuum cleaner: The extraction connection on our BSM250, with an external diameter of 49.5 mm, is designed for an industrial vacuum cleaner; the operating instructions for our BSM250/E-PRO recommend our TS1000/PRO with dust class H.
